This is the privacy and data protection statement of Baron Foodtech Oy, in accordance with Sections 10 and 24 of the Finnish Personal Data Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), drafted on September 15, 2020.

Our company’s privacy statement explains the types of personal data we may collect from our customers when they order our services or contact us through the Baron Foodtech website. The registry statement also indicates the purposes for which we may use the personal data we collect. By using our website and services, our customers agree to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the privacy statement we have drafted and updated.

Our company uses customers’ personal data only for purposes in accordance with the valid Personal Data Act, such as:

  • Managing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Sending customer letters and notifications
  • Collecting information about the customer base
  • Implementing, selling, managing, invoicing, and marketing the services and products offered by Baron Foodtech and its business partners, and developing the service portfolio. Baron Foodtech has the right to use and disclose the information in its registry for justified purposes (e.g., opinion and market research) in accordance with the valid Personal Data Act and other relevant legislation.

Our registry data comes from various sources including official contract documents, email and telephone interactions, messages sent via online forms, messages received through social media, and personal data provided by customers during meetings.

7. Data retention

The retention periods for personal data obtained from our customers may vary depending on legislation, the purpose of use, and circumstances. Personal data is updated as needed and carefully retained only as long as necessary.

8. Regular disclosure of information

The information we collect from our customers may be disclosed for direct marketing purposes and opinion and market research, in accordance with Section 19 of the valid Personal Data Act.

9. Forwarding information

To provide our services to our customers in the best possible way, we reserve the right to disclose the personal data we collect to our partners, who process our customers’ data only within the limits required to implement our services. Our partners do not use the data for other purposes nor disclose the information to other parties.

Baron Foodtech Oy may, however, disclose customer data within the limits permitted and required by valid legislation. Personal data may also be disclosed outside the EU or EEA, for example, for the technical maintenance and processing of data by our subcontractors.

10. Principles of registry protection

Special care is taken in the processing of our company’s registry; data processed through information systems is appropriately protected. When customer registry data is stored on web servers, both its physical and digital security is up-to-date. The data controller is responsible for ensuring that all stored personal data is always handled confidentially.

11. Use of cookies

Our company’s web service utilizes cookies to provide our services as high-quality and user-friendly as possible.

Our site baronfoodtech.fi uses Google Analytics software to collect statistical data about users of our web service. The software records information about which pages visitors go to, how long they stay on those pages, and what links they click while using our web service.

12. Right to access and request correction of personal data

Every individual in our customer and marketing registry has the right to access their data stored in the registry and to request the correction of any incorrect information or alternatively to supplement incomplete data. Requests to check stored personal data and any correction requests must be made to our data controller in writing.

13. Other rights related to the processing of personal data

An individual in our registry has the right to request the deletion of their personal data from the registry in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Requests for data deletion must be submitted in writing to our data controller.
